THEIR PLAYING BETWEEN CLASSICAL AND MODERN […] HAD SOMETHING FOR ME LIKE FLORIAN SCHNEIDER WITH HIS FLUTE AND RALF HÜTTER WITH THE SYNTHESIZER USED TO DO WHEN THEY WERE STILL MAKING EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC. – WOLFGANG FLÜR

Album "Lake"

2019

Lake was born out of improvisation with double bass, piano, and an analog synthesizer. The minimalistic songs with many classical elements breathe jazz, indie, and electronica. A carefree melancholic mood, reminiscent of a warm late summer evening by the lake, characterizes the lake. The sense of time seems to dissolve; long light reflections are reflected on the water, giving you the feeling of being part of eternity.

Album "Heat Haze"

2018

Raw, unpolished analog sounds fill the hot, concrete street. Hypnotic rhythms mix with dystopian sound spheres. CHOGORI project an image of retro-futuristic moods on their second album Heat Haze.

Album "Chogori"

2014

Recorded on a 24-channel Studer tape machine and pressed in black vinyl, Chogori's debut album was released in 2014.

Here, the analog synthesizer, in combination with the bowed double bass, shapes the band's characteristic sound. The focus always remains on the hypnotizing rhythm of Martell Beigang's drums and the sonic depth of the compositions.
